That’s why after years of working with many prominent companies, I left the corporate world behind to realign my work with my purpose: taking a faith-infused approach to sculpting the family business. I’m a proud family man and a purpose-driven businessman. I’m passionate about education, growth, and improvement and I’ve spent a lifetime cultivating my God-given talents to focus my pursuits outward and empower multi-generational family businesses through skilled coaching.

My decades of hands-on experience in the industry and appetite for personal development have equipped me to foster aspiring and established business owners who are ready to take their family-owned enterprise to the next level. F-PEC Scale

The F-PEC Scale, or Family-Business Psychological Empowerment Climate, is a tool used to assess the psychological climate within your enterprise. This scale measures a family’s influence over their organization by examining the relationship between ownership, governance, and management.

  • The F-PEC Scale measures influence by breaking down each relationship within the model: Power, Experience, and Culture. A closer look at each of these components can hone in on where an organization needs to improve their influence, or power, within the purview of their organization.

    Here’s the breakdown:

    Power:

    • Direct and indirect ownership

    • Governance among family and non-family directors

    • Family and non-family management

    Experience:

    • Generation in ownership

    • Generation in governance

    • Generation in management

    • Number of contributing family members

    Culture:

    This model emphasizes the importance of involving family members in key business decisions, planning for smooth transitions between generations, establishing effective governance structures, fostering strategic partnerships with external entities, and preparing the business to adapt and thrive in the face of challenges.
